NO EATING, DRINKING OR CHEWING GUM IS ALLOWED IN THE MAIN LIBRARY (L100) OR ANY OF THE LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTER COMPUTER LABS.
The Library is open 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; and 7:30 a.m. until 2:50 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Books can be borrowed from any school in the district by making a request through the high school library staff, and their catalogs can be accessed from the district catalog link:
The Union Public Library catalog is also available online through their website:
Books can also be borrowed from any library in the State. All inter-library loans (ILL) must go through a Librarian. Since it may take time to get books from other libraries, remember to look for them and order them as soon as you get your assignment. Please see Mrs. Jarossi or Mrs. Krauze if you would like to borrow a book through ILL.
We have new magazines available monthly. Magazine and journal articles are also available online.
Books and magazines go out for two-week periods, and can be renewed. Reference books can go out overnight and must be returned by beginning of first period the next day. The fine for each late book or magazine is five cents for school days, and twenty-five cents for late reference books per day.
Computers are available for student use before first period and after school. During the school day, teachers need to call first, and students must have a pass and assignment to come to the library.
Students must use their Student Computer ID and password to use the computers. Your username is made up of the first two digits of your student ID (usually your graduation year), the first initial of your first name, and your full last name (all lower case):
The password is your ID number
No students can open personal email at school.
